British Union of Fascists |
The most important Fascist party in Britain, founded in 1932 by SIR OSWALD MOSLEY, a former Labour Government minister. WILLIAM JOYCE (who was dismissed in 1937) was a prominent member. For a time, the Womens’ Units were run by LADY MAKGILL, Donald’s wife. |

Britain’s first Fascist Party, founded in 1923. WILLIAM JOYCE was a member. |

Economic League |
Effectively MI5’s ‘industrial arm’. Between the wars, it was run by JOHN BAKER WHITE, a founding member of the British Fascisti. |

A breakaway movement from the British Fascisti, headed by ARNOLD SPENCER LEESE. |

Industrial Intelligence Bureau |
A private intelligence network run by Sir GEORGE MAKGILL prior to his death in 1926. Maxwell Knight and John Baker White were among its agents |
